Repair and rehab of a water well in the village of Pankor, South Sudan. This was funded by a joint project of the Rotary Club of Hampton Bays and the Hampton Bays Middle School. It's the 2nd-ever well drilled by the group Water For South Sudan www.waterforsouthsudan.org

Our 2nd Annual Holiday Harmonies concert to benefit the Rosemary Schofield Performing Arts Scholarship was held on Saturday 12/9/17. Despite the blustery weather, hundreds turned out to see our amazing line up of local talent including professionals Darren Ottati & Bobby Peterson, Rotarians Julie Crowley and Marion Stark, and high schoolers Ava Bianchi and Lindsay Dunn. The event was emceed by Rotarian Mark Strecker.

The Rotary Club of Hampton Bays commissioned Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Division to create 2 interactive signs that will show visitors the amazing underwater and coastal habitat plants, fish and animals at this site. Created from the remains of the old wooden Ponquogue Bridge, the Edward J. Warner, Sr. Old Ponqugoue Bridge Marine Park is part of the Town of Southampton's park system and has become one of the most popular dive sites on the Northeast Coast. Thanks to past DG Marion King Stark for finding these great memories of our June 2004 installation. This was held at the beautiful Atlantica Club on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach in conjunction with Marion's Installation as our District Governor. A lot of great fellowship and fun that evening as we kicked off Rotary's Centennial year!

Our annual Holiday Harmonies community concert was held 12/11/21 at St. Rosalie's Church. The entertainment was graciously donated by local vocal star Darren Ottati and his band. The church's acoustics made for a spectacular event enjoyed by many! Funds raised go toward our Rosemary Schofield Performing Arts Scholarship and the many other charities we support. Darren was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his many years of helping our Rotary Club achieve fund raising goals

Club members, family, friends and District officers enjoyed a beautiful, breezy evening bayside at Docker's Waterside in East Quogue as we installed 2017-2018 officers.

Thanks to the Hampton Bays Community and the many businesses who sponsored our 34th Annual Spahhetti Dinner. Proceeds fund our many scholarships awarded to Hampton Bays High School students. Thanks also to our hardworking club members and Interact/high school volunteers.

Rotary Club of Hampton Bays has installed 4 Peace Poles, including 3 at Hampton Bays Schools and one at Good Ground Park, a public community green space in the center of the hamlet. The pole was installed to commemorate our member Tom Crowley's 2023-2024 service year as District Governor for District 7255. Members of the Club and the Community gathered for the dedication.

Through the cooperation of the Town of Southampton, concerned local residents and the Hampton Bays Rotary, a "Little Food Pantry" was created in Good Ground Park in Summer 2021. Seen on group photo: Lisa Kombrink (Town of Southampton), Julie Crowley and Mark Strecker from HB Rotary, Bonnie Doyle (one of the very important community member who helped spearhead this project) and Rick Martel (Southampton Town Board Member). The Little Pantry movement is spreading throughout the country as a neighborhood project to assist community members in need.

Helping out at the Rotary-run Camp PaQuaTuck in Center Moriches is truly one of the greatest rewards of being a Rotarian. It's a privilege to prepare dinner for these very special campers, who were also conducting Special Olympics activities this week.
