Bike to the Beach is a nonprofit committed to funding meaningful solutions for lives touched by autism spectrum disorders and intellectual/developmental disabilities. We do this through fundraising cycling events in 8 cities nationwide that will raise over $2 million in 2022.
We are hosting our Annual New York Bike to the Beach event on Sunday, September 10th. Our riders will leave Manhattan at 5 AM and head East (to the beach!) finishing at Dockers Waterside on Dune Rd in East Quogue.
We are looking for volunteers to help with finish-line support activities such as event setup (table cloths on tables, folding chairs) finisher greeting (presentation of a finisher medal, cooling towel, water), rider check-in table (handing out t-shirts and rider rewards), bike valet (parking bikes on specific racks assigned to start line shuttles), and event tear down. We would have a couple of shifts throughout the day that volunteers could select from most likely 9-1:30, 11:00-3:30, and 1:30-6:00.
